Sculptures

Walking Line

This Sculpture was an exploration of how to draw a line with metal, I was starting my research in to the material itself and into the third law of thermodynamic and how metal interacts with oxygen to produce over time, The concept behind this piece is based on time and how eventually the metal will color with rust to the same as the wood it is attached to.

Dialogue

Using wire I created different sized cylinders and wrapped them in wool to show the contrast between hard and soft, organic and inorganic. The wool had a protective quality which coved the skeleton structure of the wire. At the time I was inspired by artist like Christian Boltanski and Susan Hiller who's work portray the decay of human existence in memories and culture. As my research develop so did these sculptures and over one by one they transformed into decomposing creatures.

Windows

These Sculptures are an exploration of combining the contrast of two contradicting materials, Fragile translucent glass and Solid tough Concreate. My inspiration for the glass arrangements is from an array of subjects to Inka theories or star Constellations.
